Friday--last day of Camp Abe Lincoln

When we picked Colby up from camp on Friday night they had a little closing ceremony and gave out some awards, etc. The second photo is Colby receiving her award from her counselor for being the "Question Master". I interpreted this as "the one who asked a million questions and drove her counselor crazy" :) She enjoyed it tremendously and only got "a little bit" homesick.

Friday--last day of soccer camp

Everyone is back...

Camps are over, Colby is back, Greg is home this weekend and other than a baby shower and graduation party we have nothing planned for the weekend. Anxious for some downtime and so very glad Colby is home. We sure missed here around here and she said she missed us so much her stomach hurt one night. She was a brave girl and really enjoyed camp. I sometimes forget she is only eight. Pretty young to go away for camp, but she handled it great and is already talking about next year's horse camp.

Sounds like it is supposed to be nice weather this weekend. Looking forward to just hanging out at home doing a little yardwork and spending time in the pool. Hard to believe this is the end of June. Summer seems to be fleeting much too quickly.

A new 'do'

Creighton has a big whirlygig in the back of his hair that makes it stand straight up if it is cut too short. So we have kept it long for the last couple of years. Tonight we decided to cut it short to see how it goes this time. I love it. His dad thought otherwise.

Leader of the pack....

Creighton was pretty aggressive on the soccer field this week. His motto was 'take the ball from whoever has it and RUN!'. Hopefully, he'll soon learn not to do that to his own teammates anymore :)

Softball

The softball season is nearly over and I hadn't taken any pictures at all. Finally tonight I got a couple. Colby has had a fantastic season. Up until tonight she had been hitting the ball far into the outfield and getting a hit every time at bat. She had a rough night tonight only getting one hit. She was tired after a full day, but hopefully she'll get back in her groove again.

Avoidance

It is 9:45pm. In an effort to avoid cleaning the kitchen, I am finding very important things to do on the computer. Like posting more pictures of Creighton at soccer. I really should be cleaning....
