busy.....

We have been busy this spring. Trying to get a lot of stuff accomplished before May 1 when Greg starts working LOTS of overtime--as in 7 days a week, 10 hr days for the entire month of May. So, we've got a yard we are trying to landscape, there is a garage to be built, a pool to get installed, a hot tub to travel to get, then trees to come out and a cement pad poured so that can be installed. Not to mention both kids are playing on traveling softball/baseball teams with Greg helping coach baseball. So, needless to say, our time is precious these days and we are trying to keep our heads above water. I got my camera out a couple nights ago and still have florida pictures and now some softball pics on there as well. However, I can't get them from my camera to my computer so that will have to come later when I have the patience to figure it out. Better news is that I ordered a new camera today and hope to capture some fab shots this summer on the river, in the pool, on the ballfield, at the pond, or where ever our summer takes us.

In other news....the kids will both be attending new schools next year. Colby will be attending West Middle School. She was a little upset about not going to Central with all of her classmates. Creighton will be moving from Colorado to McKinley next year. He was devestated (for a day or so). And Colby insisted that I ruined her life. But, they are both getting used to the idea so they are coming around now. The reason being is that we no longer have the afterschool care that has been available to us in the past. So, the kids will need to ride the bus back and forth from home now and Colby will watch Creighton until Greg or I get home from work (which on most days Greg will probably beat the bus home anyway). In the long run I think they will be happy about being home earlier after school.

Also along those lines we were without summer care this year too. So I quickly scrambled and was able to get them into the Y Kids Club for the summer. That will be new for them too. But, I am in hopes that both kids will maybe meet someone from their new schools so that they might see a familiar face on the dreaded first day at a new school.

That sums it up for now. More later when I can retrieve photos from my old camera and I am sure there will be more when I get my NEW camera!! :) Yay!

Day 1

So I just completed day 1 of the NurtriSystem diet. I am impressed. I have watched the commercials and read on the website with great intrigue. I finally jumped in and decided to try it. Dieting just sucks all the way around, but when you have to shop and cook for your family, and shop and cook something completely different for yourself that makes it twice as hard. So last week my box of neatly packaged, pre measured, perfectly balanced food arrived at the back door. 35 days worth of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I only add fresh fruit and some veggies. So now, I don't worry about me, fix the family what they like (or sometimes, don't like :) and it is win, win. I loved everything I had today so hopefully everything continues to be as tasty. And for as few calories as I consumed today, I was never hungry. Anxious to see some results and success. And, yes Y, I will be visiting you as well. I see lots of swim suit time in my future as we will be installing a pool at home this month and last weekend we purchased a boat. I will enjoy myself this summer and I will NOT worry about how I look in my suit. NutriSystem.....work your magic.

With every pain....He said, I love you.

Does God really love us? I say look to the crucified Jesus. Look to the old rugged cross. By every thorn that punctured His brow. By every mark of the back lacerating scourge. By every hair of his beard plucked from his cheeks by cruel fingers. By every bruise which heavy fists made upon His head. God said, "I love you!" By all the spit that landed on his face. By every drop of sinless blood that fell to the ground. By every breath of pain which Jesus drew upon the cross. By every beat of His loving heart. God said, I love you. B. Lobbs
