Fish

These two have spent quite a bit of time fishing this summer. Creighton loves to fish! And the best part...he caught these in our backyard. Feeling pretty lucky to have a stocked pond on our property! They are looking forward to a fish fry! Creighton informed me that he has caught 17 fish now. And the funny thing...I'm going out on a limb here....revealing his fishing 'secret'. And the bait is.......any guesses?????????

Driving Lessons....

A few weekends ago we went on the river for an afternoon after the rains had passed. The river was quiet. We took a leisure ride up to Ducky's. The water was calm. Both kids got a driving lesson and their turn as captain. It was an awesome day.

The best seat in the house......

the few times we got out on the river with our boat, the kids gravitated to this spot for some relaxing, resting, sunning and in colby's case...texting. :)

Twas the night before school....

and all through the house....everyone is sleeping. Except this momma! The nervousness has set in....will the bus remember to pick them up? will Creighton cry everyday for two weeks again this year? did i get all the right supplies? will they eat their lunch and not go hungry all afternoon? will they love their new schools? and the biggest question, have i properly prepared them for their new adventures in new schools? they seem confident and excited. hope i'm right.....but i'm still not ready to send my girl off to that brutal place they call...middle school. ugh.

sooo.....

it's been awhile since i have visited this blog of mine. lots has happened, im sure of that, but at the moment i don't recall. had some river time, but then we wrecked our boat so that's out for awhile. saw my friend marissa get married off last weekend--so happy for them. i have some pictures on the various cameras that i own, but who knows what or where they are? im positive that we have been so busy i don't even know what we've done. not ready for school to start. definately not. feel like summer should just be beginning. how's that for a zero-substance post? someday i will collect my thoughts, collect some photos and come up with something a little more tantalizing.....maybe.
