After being at the zoo in 107 degree temps, we beat the heat the rest of the day by exploring the Magic House...fun!

And yes, the best part IS the hospitality room at the end :) And yes, I let both of my children taste my beer....it went exactly as I anticipated--Colby thought it was the most disgusting stuff ever and Creighton loved it. Not even sure what to say about that....

St. Louis Zoo

Second Place....twice

Colby's team played in Ames and Marion in July--both tournaments they earned second place finishes....not too shabby girls! Would love to see them pull out a FIRST place soon!!! :)

Softball

So....the week after State Baseball, we headed to Ames for softball in the Iowa Games tourney. I went to take my first photo of the weekend and realized I left my memory card in my boat camera. So, once I get some photos I will post those. The girls had a rough first day, but in the end...played well in the final round and lost a CLOSE championship game....second place for them too. Not to shabby! Then this past Saturday they played in a tournament...undefeated in pool play, but lost in the championship game...another second place finish...sure wish they could pull out a first place soon!
