Riverfront

I was at the riverfront this afternoon when they did a test on the new interactive water feature. It is not done yet, but they ran the water to be sure it was in working order before it got too cold. It is going to be very cool. The center fountain will be about 28 ft. in height. There are four rainbow shaped fountains around the outside that will shoot toward the middle and then several little mushroom and small fountains coming from the ground. It will be lit, landscaped beautifully and I just can't wait to take pictures when all the construction equipment is gone.

While I was there I thought I would get a few shots of the clammer. His detail, character and personality are just magnificent. I am continually amazed at the quality of facilities that our Parks and Recreation system has to offer. And I'm not just saying that because I work there :)

Of course, my pictures of the clammer are nothing compared to Dan's. But I'm not crazy enough to be on the riverfront at sunrise either :)

Can't wait to see how everything unfolds next spring! Posted by Picasa
