We were told it wasn't possible. That was our earthly physician's opinion. We prayed anyway because we knew our God is much bigger than that. We were blessed with Colby 8 years ago today. This is the result of the "impossible"........
I remember her "birth" day so vividly. Our first baby that we were told would never happen. She suprised us 6 weeks early. A 17 mile drive to Iowa City in the middle of the night took almost 2 hours during the worst snowstorm in several years. A long labor and difficult delivery. A week in the NICU with various minor complications--underdeveloped lungs, some feeding difficulties, jaundice. All things correctable, but she still gave her mom and dad quite a scare with her premature entry into this world!
Colby has continued to keep us on our toes since day one. There are no words to describe our love for her. She is a daddy's girl and a momma's baby. She is just so "Colby". What a blessing she is....
