Let's go RACIN' boys!!!

Greg and I took a long weekend and went with 7 other couples to the NASCAR race in Joliet, IL. near Chicago. We again stayed on the infield in our friends RV. I have about a million pictures (actually 265) and really have no idea which ones to post, if any. If you aren't a NASCAR fan you would have no idea who these drivers are or how awesome it is to be close enough to them to get pictures. And, a few of the late night pictures aren't really family friendly. So since I posted many of the cars, drivers last year I think I'll just attach a couple and call it good. We had a great weekend and a million thanks to everyone who helped with the kids, the cats, dogs, horse and to the cleaning fairy who tackled the 'dog porch' while we were gone. A weekend away was just what the doctor ordered for Greg and I. We are back, we are refreshed, we are tired and we are ready to tackle the week ahead.

Patriotism runs deep at the NASCAR races. The military is a presence is great on and around the track.....

A picture of a sign in Mark Martin's area (he drives the ARMY car)....
The flyover after the national anthem........(this gives me goosebumps every time)
Another picture of a Mark Martin sign
a shot of the flag flying from our friends RV
Our favorite driver #48 Jimmie Johnson during pre-race parade of drivers
