Kalona
There is just something that I LOVE about Kalona. I love going to the grocery store and seeing teams with buggies tied to the hitching posts. I love going to the bakery and buying fresh baked goods still hot out of the oven. I love the country store, String Town, the Cheese Factory and the Auction barn. Today my friend Kathy and I spent the entire day at the auction barn and still was able to hit the country store, the bakery and String Town. We also take the gravel roads home and I love to see the little Amish children at work and at play. I love their simplicity. I wish they allowed people to take their pictures, but they don't like it. As much as I would love to snap a few, I respect their privacy. I don't think I would like people driving by my house taking pictures of my kids either. It was another day well spent. Another day spent dreaming about days gone by.
