So today I was getting ready for work and noticed that it was starting to thunder a little and the sky was dark. The first thing I said to the kids this morning is "you do NOT go out ahead of me this morning! You wait inside until I am ready to go and then we will walk out to the garage together. "
Colby looked at me pretty dumbfounded and said "why?". I guess last Friday is still very fresh in my mind. But, how quickly they forget and move on.

I was sitting on my front porch this morning, and when I heard the thunder, I immediately thought of you, the kids and the horse! dg
I have always been a 'storm lover' too. The dark threatening skies, the calm before the storm, the smell before a rain, the feel of the air--I totally loved it all. Now, I am scared....

See, because of one bad experience.....life can be changed forever-that bothers me a lot. Totally having some other thoughts here as I read your comment to me. My mind just raced-I will leave it at that!!! And, Mom, I did go inside because I was sitting in an old, iron chair!! :) dg
