We have a male cat named "Max". We also have a couple of female cats without names and a few strays that hang around at meal times too. Today Colby came flying in the door and announced, "Max is in LOVE!!!". I quickly responded by asking, "how do you know this?". Of course, I am hoping that I don't have to come up with a quick explanation for what she saw! She said, "he was curled up in the corner with the black girl cat". OK - problem solved, no explanation needed for that one. Although as she was walking back out the door she commented, "I'll have to check on them later, they're probably gonna have babies". Just like that, they curl up in the corner and later that day, boom, baby kittens are born. I just left that one alone.....

Hold on to the innocence. When we were pregnant with the girls, Ian just took us at our word. This time he wanted many more deatils. "How do you know?" "How does the doctor know to check?" "Are they going to cut you open to get it out?" things of that nature. I swear we are one step from the big questions.
