Float Building
Homecoming Parade
Colby was selected to ride on the homecoming float for Colorado School. One student in each class was picked to ride and the others were able to walk behind if they wanted to. Colby was very proud and felt very special. I asked her the other day how she was picked and this was her response "I used to be naughty at school and now I'm good so I got picked". I'm sure this was not the case, although she loves to talk at school instead of do her work sometimes! She had a great time helping put the finishing touches on the float. The theme was "Grill the Dogs" so they had "Camp Colorado" and they were cooking paper dogs on sticks over the "fire". And Principal Williams was cooking Creighton's stuffed dog on the grill. Apparently they were all supposed to bring stuffed dogs and Colby was the only one that did--but, of course she took Creighton's instead of her own.
Goodbye for now
Today my last grandparent, Gramma Viner, was laid to rest. She did not suffer with a lengthy illness and for that I am grateful. She looked good today in her very pretty dress and red nail polish. Some things I will always remember about her is her chili, chicken and noodles, sitting at her kitchen table looking out the window for hours on end, her many hair colors (and styles) and of course, who could EVER forget, her umbrella hat!
I came across these pictures tonight taken during one of her birthday celebrations. Oh she always loved a good party and many times she was the life of the party!
Over the course of the last 9 years I have attended the funerals of all of my grandparents. I am thankful for each of them and have fond memories of all.

What a beautiful day...
Creighton and I went out alone for the afternoon. This is a glimpse of the great afternoon we had. What an awesome day...

And Maddie makes three....
The kids and I went to gramma and grampa's house for the afternoon. My niece Maddison was there for a couple of hours too. We love her soooo much!
In pictures 1 & 2 Maddison is chasing Creighton with a make-up brush trying to put make-up on his face. I'm not sure why he was running from her--it would have went well with the nail polish his sister had put on him earlier. Poor guy....
