So today was a good day. Church, a very encouraging discussion with our realtor, Colby ended up going to a friends house vs. her coming here, Creighton and I out for lunch and to the playground, home to mow, pick up Colby, come home to finish mowing and then was my little mishap. We had about 1 1/2 hours for horseback riding before dark. I was standing in the stir-up checking Blaze's saddle to be sure it was tight enough--it wasn't, it slipped, I fell, rolled my ankle and sat yelling out in pain in the grass unable to get up. Greg wasn't here so the kids ran to the house for ice and got the horse in the pen. I iced it for about 15 minutes and had it numb enough to get up. I am hobbling, but I think it will be fine. My ankle looks like a softball, but I don't think it's broke. There were two very loud pops when I fell so I guess I will watch it and see. It is getting stiff and sore tonight. Typically, I am not accident or injury prone so it is unusual for me to have anything happen. Just glad it was me and not the kids.
So all in all a good day, and I am thankful for Ibuprofin tonight!

Sooooo sorry to hear about the mishap. Just to let you know, it does take time for them to heal, and putting your ankle up and resting it is the only way to make that happen. Somehow I don't see you resting much?!! :) I wish you a speedy recovery! donna g

You heard pops? I think you need an xray. Ow, my ankle hurts just reading the story!
