While being quite wrapped up in our own affairs around here I failed to dedicate February 7th to my Grandpa. He was born this day in 1919 and entered the Gates 86 years later.
I am sure there was quite a birthday celebration--I can just imagine the dancing, the laughter, the absolute, pure and perfect joy so free from stress, pain and sickness.
Still part of me is selfish in wanting to celebrate with him one last time. We miss him, we love him so, and the memories we hold dear. Remembering him tonight and the joy that he brought to us which paled in comparison to the joy my kids brought to him. So thankful to be a part of this story....
